Books

Books are important things to  all writers.

All writers are readers, but not all readers are writers. Because, what's the ultimate goal of a writer? To write stories that people read. But readers, they do not necessarily have a goal to write. Writing is the process, the book is the outcome. Readers on the other hand, read for their own reasons, to gain entertainment, perhaps, or to gain knowledge.
Writers ALWAYS have to be readers.
How many books have you read this year? Which was your favourite one yet? If you are a writer, what book inspired you?
I can answer these questions down here somewhere👇, and you can too! (in the comments)
For the amount, I proudly present:

131 WOOOOOOO
For the favourite yet (this year only),

The house on the gulf, by Margaret Peterson Haddix, my absolute go-to author, and the author of Shadow Children series.
For inspiration, A lot of books, but our absolute outstanding winners are the Enola Homes and the Alex Rider and the On The Run Series.
I really can't determine my favourite book amongst them but they all were really, really inspiring. Oh wait, even Anne Of Green Gables. When it comes to inspiration, I felt like I really, really, needed something similar to write.
Like from Anne Of Green Gables, I really needed Emma to have red hair. The freckles? Well, just a soft sprinkle on the bridge of her nose. So yes, my character was inspired by our lovely Anne (with an E, by the way).

Sometimes, analysing books help a LOT, when it comes to writing. Looking back at books you liked much, you think about why you liked it and why others did not. For an example, we will take Anne Of Green Gables, I loved Montgomery's way of character development, Anne was an absolutely lovely character that always takes me back into the days I read it. Her character is not particularly something everybody likes, you may notice. Many readers complained of crying because of boredom and hated the outspoken child, Anne.
I do not disagree, being a mad fan of Anne, and Prince Edward Island (the best was imagery), I do not disagree with any opposite perspective kicking in because everyone has different tastes. You may love Anne's crazy nature, her dramatic reactions to mistakes, and likewise, but not everyone thinks like you and I do. Some say this due to their age, gender, culture and various different reasons.
This brings us to another point; You should write for yourself. PERIODT.
If you aren't writing something you want to write, and are only writing  to please others, you'll never succeed.
All for today,
Nab
