Names
Honestly, I think names in books are very important. They represent a lot of things. My character, Emma Garner is half British and half Canadian.
So there's the family:
Edward - Amanda
Edward is a popular name in England while Amanda is more popular in America and Canada.
Jeffery (Jeff), Percy, Ella, and Emma
Then there's Jeffery and Percy, both common in England. Then there's Ella and Emma which are both British names. However, Emma is quite common in (North) America, both in the States and in Canada.
The story is based in Canada. Before Emma was born, the family moved to Canada, their mother's country. That means that Emma's dad's side of the family is based in the UK while her mum's side is in Canada.
I suppose that's it for today,
Naba
